One of my favorite holidays is in just three short days - Independence Day. In the past, on the 4th of July, my family has enjoyed spending time with friends and family at our local San Clemente beaches, but having to tote around five young children to an overly busy and crowded beach seems less and less appealing to me - maybe it's my old age. Instead, we like to have a more or less quiet day at home, maybe go for a swim at the neighbor's pool, and, of course, nothing is more American than firing up the grill and barbecuing under the warm, golden sun with a cold Coke in hand.
